I am currently having an experience of 8.5 yrs as a Sybase DBA and 4.5 yrs as a MSSQL DBA. Have been working with Sybase 12.5, 15.0.3, 15.5 and 15.7 versions of Sybase on various OS flavours including Sun Solaris, HP Unix and Linux. Managing deployment, server upgrades, ESD patching, Cross platform dumploads, user management, Migration, Production alerts, Replication setup, Replication alerts and various other Production issues in ASE and Replication for Sybase. Working on major Production issues like log full, tempdb full and following the best practices in order to avoid them. Also working on Microsoft SQL Server as a Production DBA with version 2005 and 2008. Have been majorly into the banking sector inluding major investment banks like UBS Bank, JP Morgan Chase and Credit Agricole CIB, managing the Production, Integration and development servers. Had also been part of the JP Morgan Chase team in London and Glasgow and currently handling the database operations for Credit Argicole from Singapore supporting databases for various major applications like Summit, Kondor+, Murex, Calyso, etc. Also exposed majorly to the Investment Banking and Treasury sector. Have also been working as the first level application support for Kondor Plus application. Working on various user requests and production issues. Exposed to latest bugs and fixes in the latest versions of Sybase i.e 15.5 and 15.7. Cross skilled on Microsoft SQL server as well and working on various SQL server activities.
