Mainak is the Co-CEO of GPS Renewables (Green Power Systems), which he had co-founded right after completing his MBA from IIM Bangalore. GPS is one of Asia’s most promising cleantech firms, having received awards from various international and national platforms such as The Tech Awards (Global Top 5, Environment Category), WWF (Climate Solver), Kauffman Foundation (GEW50) and the Sankalp Forum (Winner, Cleantech Category). According to the MIT Technology Review, Mainak is one of the top Indian innovators under the age of 35. Fortuna Media has recently named him as “The Bioenergy person of the year, 2015”. He is also a Global Shaper, World Economic Forum, as a part of which, he works towards making Bangalore a better place for its citizens. Prior to taking the entreprenuerial plunge, Mainak had been involved with various startups as a Product Engineer and Consultant. As the Technical Architect and member of the founding team at Anveshan Telecom, a Bangalore based telecom product firm, he was instrumental in the conceptualization and design of their initial product portfolio. Today Anveshan has presence in 4 continents. He has also had a stint at Result, a pan-European startup consulting firm-cum-fund.
